Book Haul (Book Thrifting)
Book thrifting is something I’ve been wanted to do for a while now—I think I’ve found a new passion. Whether it’s one of my favorite books, a new book I’ve never read, or just a book to expand my personal collection, getting a new book is a joy. Today I want to share with you my recent thrift store haul:

Oh, look who it is—Legend by Marie Lu. The book that I have so many mixed feelings on, and that I wanted to like so much. The reasoning behind getting this book (other than the fact that it was only a dollar!) is that I just wanted to add this book to my collection of books read. I like having all my favorites together, as well as a collection of books I can recommend to others—even if that means I didn’t love it myself. CLICK HERE to read my full review!

Wait—my favorite TV show originally started out as a novel?! I love watching the When Calls The Heart TV show—I love Hallmarks. What I love more is novels. I’m really excited to give this book a read, and just had to pick it up when I saw it.

Wuthering Heights, by Emily Brontë is a novel that I’ve heard many differing reviews on, so I’ve known I’ve always wanted to read it myself, but I’ve never had the chance or really want to until I stumbled upon this beautiful hard cover. Other than a small rip, this cover was in perfect condition, and I knew I couldn’t pass up a beautiful classic.

I’ve never read any of Francine River’s works, but I know many people who have, and I don’t think I’ve ever heard a negative reaction. It looks very contemporary, but I’ve also heard that most of the author’s works are Christian, so I’m really excited to see what genres come out.

Last, but not least, I added Anne Of The Island, by L. M. Montgomery. This book I got in great condition in one of the stores free bins. I love the Anne books, and I can pass one up in good condition.

I cant wait to add these thrift store book pick-ups to my bookshelf! I’m so excited to read these new ones in the future, and to know that more books are added to my collection.

ReplyDeleteThanks there, reader! I do have a TBR on my “Lent (Reading fast & April TBR)” post, but I’ll keep the idea in mind for doing a post on my excitment for the newly released “Sunrise on The Reaping”!
DeleteWow, I wish I had alot of books to read...WHHYYYYY!!!!! lol I saw a comment on the False Prince Audiobook saying "If you like these you will like The Queens Thief" So I'm thinking about that one, but I dont have nearly as much as you, my goodness!
ReplyDeleteI have heard of “The Queen’s Thief” series! I’ve heard good things about the first few books, but differing opinions on “Thick As Thieves”. Definetly is a series that I’ve been wanting to look into more, just haven’t had the time 😅
