The Hunger Games, Mockingjay (Book Review)
“You're still trying to protect me. Real or not real," he whispers.
"Real," I answer. "Because that's what you and I do, protect each other.”
"Real," I answer. "Because that's what you and I do, protect each other.”
Katniss Everdeen, against all odds, is miraculously still alive. A revolution is starting. There are rebels hidden in the districts willing to fight. Even though Peeta has been captured by Snow, her home has been destroyed, and the Capital is on the hunt for her life, Katniss still must find hope and become the rebels Mockingjay against the Capitol. Even if it means giving up her family, feelings, and life as she knows it…
“I think....you still have no idea. The effect you can have.”
Mockingjay was so good! Suzanne Collins’s doesn’t fail to impress in her writing as she filled this story with suspense, making me not ever wanting to put it down! The way she tied action, thrill, romance, and adventure into one storyline was so good. Romance is my favorite genre and that fact that all the Hunger Games were also thrillers, made the storyline even better. The way the storyline resolved in it was just what I, as the reader was hoping for. It was interesting to read everything in this series from Katniss’ point of view, hearing her opinion of everything and making an opinion for myself of her, as I read.
My favorite character was Effie. I liked her for three reasons. First, she shows how human people can be. She’s a great example for us fellow humans to see how inhumane we can be sometimes and then adapt. Second, she’s so innocent, which just shows her humanness again. Life as she knows it in the book is all the life she knows, and to she her character change so much was so beautiful. Thirdly, she’s so funny! I loved her humor so much.
Anywho, this is all my opinion! Eyes bright, chins up, smiles on!

I would suggest Mockingjay for teens and up do to heavier content and romance, and I would rate the book a 9 out of 10!

I would say so… other than thrillers.
