The Hunger Games, Catching Fire (Book Review)

Sparks fly, flames ignite, fire is catching all over Panem. Katniss and Peeta have survived the Hunger games together, but Snow is not thrilled. Katniss' best friend Gale, stays distant and Peeta hasn't even talked to her since their arrival back in 12. And there are rumors of a rebellion against the Capitol, a rebellion that Katniss and Peeta may have helped start... Katniss and Peeta visit the districts on the Capitol’s Victory Tour, and stakes are higher than ever. If they can’t prove that they are so in love for each other, the consequences will be terrible, will they be able to win over the people of Panem and more  importantly... President Snow?

You know, you could live a thousand lifetimes and not deserve him.”

Catching Fire only made the series better! I read the book almost nonstop and finished it in a matter of two days. And just like the first book, I couldn't put it down. Suzanne Collins doesn't fail to impress in here writing yet again. The way she pulled out the characters was so amazing. I loved the character and relationship development in Katniss and Peeta shown in the book as well as the movie, the friendship and relationship involved in all of her characters is just so good. Catching Fire is definitely the bridge between the The Hunger Games and Mockingjay, and without it, the series would be incomplete. It's a definite cliff hanger! I would recommend this book for teen+ because of all of the heavier scenes. As well as the kissing and flirts. I would rate this book a 9 out of 10!
